Terms of use
The conditions covering the Your Food app and this website, including accounts, Premium, the lifetime purchase and what is expected of both sides.
These terms cover the Your Food mobile app and this website. Both are published by Harderue Studio.
Using the app
Your Food is free to download and free to use for the features listed as free. You need an account to use it, because your inventories sync between your own devices.
You are responsible for the content you put into your inventories and for the people you invite to share them. Inviting someone gives them access to that inventory.
Accounts and signing in
Accounts are created through Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. Your Food stores your email address to identify the account; the password stays with Google or Apple and is never seen by the app.
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from inside the app, under Settings → Account → Delete Account. Confirming it permanently deletes the cloud-stored data and the authentication information attached to the account and revokes the session on that device. It cannot be reversed. If you have lost access to the app, the contact page is the fallback.
Premium
Premium unlocks the shared and larger setups: an inventory for every place, unlimited lists, sublists and products, real-time household sharing and full budget tracking. One Premium purchase covers the people who share an inventory with you.
Premium is sold as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a single lifetime purchase. A lifetime purchase covers Premium as described here, with no recurring fee. Features that carry a running cost of their own may be offered separately later; if that ever happens it will be stated plainly, and nothing already included in Premium is taken away.
- Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling is done in your store account, not here.
- The lifetime purchase is a single payment with no recurring fee.
- Prices, taxes and refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own terms, which is also where a refund is requested.
Syncing your own account across your own devices stays free and is not part of Premium.
What the app does not promise
Your Food helps you keep track of what you have. It does not guarantee that food is safe to eat. Expiration dates you enter are your own data, reminders depend on your device’s notification settings, and real-time sharing depends on having a connection.
Nothing in the app replaces your own judgement about whether something should be eaten.
Availability
The app and this website are provided as they are. Features change over time, and some may be added, altered or withdrawn. Anything significant is announced on the blog or the roadmap.
Using this website
You may read, quote and link to this site. Please do not present its content as your own, and do not use the Your Food name or logo in a way that suggests a partnership that does not exist.
