The inventory, expiration dates, shopping lists, household sharing, the barcode scanner and the budget, each one as the app actually looks.
Add what is in the fridge, the freezer, the cupboards and anywhere else you store things. Alongside food you can track medicine, toiletries, cleaning supplies and pet food, all in exactly the same way. Every field is optional, so the inventory stays as light or as detailed as you want it.
Add a date when a date matters and choose how far ahead you want to be told. Your Food sorts what should be used first and sends a notification while there is still time to plan a meal around it.
Send a product to a shopping list without retyping its name, unit or icon. Once it is bought, put it back into the right place in one tap. Nothing is entered twice, and the list already knows what you have.
Invite the people you live with and stop being the only person who knows what is left. A change made by one member appears for the others in real time, so nobody buys a second bottle of milk on the way home.
Keep the stock of each place in its own inventory: a vacation home, a student apartment, an office kitchen, a cellar, a camper van. Nothing mixes, and you can share one place without sharing the others.
Record prices as you add products and follow how spending moves by week, by month and by year. The useful part is not the total, it is noticing which weeks were expensive and what was different about them.
Start with a single list. When the number of products or the number of rooms makes it worth it, break it down into sublists that follow how your kitchen is actually arranged, shelf by shelf or category by category.
Point the camera at a barcode and the product name and category are filled in for you. The bar for logging a can of beans drops far enough that the inventory actually stays up to date.
Every product can carry an icon, which turns a long list into something you can scan with your eyes. Even an inventory with hundreds of products stays readable and pleasant to go through.
Adjust the language, the currency, the date format, the reminder delays and the icons. Your Food is translated into more than ten languages and was built for international use from the start.
