Why barcode scanning is what makes a pantry inventory last
Pantry systems rarely fail from lack of motivation. They fail from friction, and typing every product name by hand is the friction.
Your Food - No Waste Inventory
See it all at a glance: track your supplies, sync them across your own devices for free, stay ahead of expiration dates, plan the shopping and share your inventory with your household.

Your Food is a pantry inventory app for iPhone and Android that helps a household track the food in its pantry, fridge and freezer, follow expiration dates, manage quantities and shopping lists, and waste less.
How it works
Scan a barcode or type a name: food, medicine, toiletries, cleaning supplies, pet food, anything you want to find again. Name, quantity, date, price, unit or note: you only fill in what is useful to you.
Add a date and choose when you want to be reminded. Your Food brings forward what should be used first, so fewer things are forgotten at the back of a cupboard.
Move a product to a shopping list without retyping its name, unit or icon. Once bought, put it back into the right inventory in one tap, with its price if you follow your budget.
Share your stock and your shopping lists with your family, your partner or your roommates. Every change appears in real time, so everyone knows what is left.
What is inside
One app instead of a note, a reminder and three group chats. Here are a few of the things Your Food does, and they all talk to each other.

Everything you keep at home, in one readable list.

Know what needs using before it is too late.

What runs out moves straight to the lists.

Everyone sees the same stock and the same lists.

The house, the office and the camper van stay apart.

See where the food budget actually goes.
They already trust me
This is cute, easy to use, and not at all annoying like the average gimme app. Take my money. We need more apps like this. Thanks for being ethical.
This is a great app to track the food in the house! I found it on reddit, has no ads, and really fun to use!
Very cute and simple! Love the style and customization. Easy to add items to different lists, adjust quantity, set expiration dates, add to shopping list, etc. Exactly what I wanted in a grocery list app.
I love this app! So many cute icons to assign to foods and a really convenient way to remember what you have while shopping for what you need, and reducing your food waste. My husband and I upgraded, and we both love it!
Incredibly cute app that makes it so much easier to track what we've got in our pantry and fridge/freezers. This is definitely going to help me waste less food - and save money.
Easy to use and very helpful. I was tired of being at the supermarket and trying to remember what I had at home. I hate wasting food and noticed I was throwing a lot of expired food away, so I'm very happy I can keep track of expiration dates as well.

Still deciding?
The honest answers to what usually stops someone downloading a pantry inventory app.
"I will never keep it up to date."
Then do not try to. Scan the barcodes of what you buy most, or track one shelf. Every field except the name is optional, so a product takes seconds, not a form.
"Another subscription."
No. The free version is a real version, and Premium has a one-off lifetime purchase next to the monthly and yearly plans. Buy it once and it is yours.
"It will be full of ads."
There are none. Not in the free version, not in Premium, not on this site. A paid tier exists so that they never have to.
"My partner will never use it."
They do not have to set anything up. Share the inventory and they open the app to a list that is already filled in, updating in real time as either of you changes it.
"I will lose it all when I change phone."
Signing in brings everything back. Syncing your own account across your own devices is part of the free version, not something Premium holds hostage.
"It is only for food."
It is not. Medicine, toiletries, cleaning supplies, pet food, a cellar, an office kitchen, a camper van. If you want to find it again without opening every cupboard, it belongs in it.
Free to start
The free version covers the essentials: inventory, dates, reminders, shopping lists, barcode scanning and personal sync across your own devices. Premium adds the advanced and shared uses, with extended inventories and lists, household sharing, sublists and budget tracking.
A one-off lifetime purchase is available alongside the monthly and yearly plans.
